How to Check Actual Storage Usage
You can view your current SharePoint storage in the Microsoft 365 Admin Center:
Steps:
1. Go to Microsoft 365 Admin Center.
2. Navigate to Reports > Usage.
3. Click SharePoint site usage.
4. Or go to SharePoint Admin Center > Active sites.
5. At the top, you’ll see total storage used vs available.
Alternatively:
1. Go to https://admin.microsoft.com
2. Navigate to SharePoint Admin Center > Settings > Storage Limit.
Notes:
- Only certain Microsoft 365 licenses (e.g., Business Standard, E3, E5) contribute to storage allocation.
- Add-on storage can be purchased if you exceed the included limit.
- Storage includes all site collections, OneDrive, Teams files, and document libraries.
