AFI – Restore Backup Using AFI Veeam Backup & Replication

1. Open Veeam Backup & Replication Console
– Connect to the AFI Veeam Backup Server.
   IP address: 192.168.222.20
– Launch the Veeam Backup & Replication console.
2. Choose Restore Option
You can restore several types of backups. Select based on your needs:
– Entire machine restore
– Disk restore
– Guest files restore
Click Home > Restore and select the desired restore type.

3. Select Restore Type
a) Entire Machine Restore
To perform a full recovery of a virtual machine from a backup:
  1. Go to Home > Restore > Agents > Entire Machine Restore > Instant Recovery > to Microsoft Hyper-V.
  2. Select the machine you want to restore from the list.
  3. Click Next.
      4. Select the host where you want to restore it.

      5. Review the summary and click Finish.
b) Disk Restore
For recovering a virtual disk from the backup:
  1. Go to Home > Restore > Disk Restore > Export disk.
  2. Select the disk and restore point.
      3. Select the path and the format you want to recover.

      4. Review the summary and click Finish.
c) Guest File Restore
To recover a specific file from a backup:
  1. Go to Home > Restore > Agents > Guest Files Restore > Microsoft Windows.
  2. Select the server and restore point.
  3. Click Browse.
      4. Select the file(s) you want to recover.
      5. Right-click on the file and select Restore to > Keep.
      6. Select the host and the location you want to restore it.
      7. Wait for the status to show ‘Success’ before closing the window.
